Oybek Mamazulunov (born December 25, 1989 ), also Oibek Mamasulunov , is an Uzbek amateur boxer.

Boxing career

Mamazulunov was Uzbek champion for the first time in 2010, at that time still in the middleweight division. In July 2013 he started in the light heavyweight division at the 27th Asian Championships in Amman , Jordan. With victories against Jagrup Singh from India (3: 0), Sandagsuren Erdenebayar from Mongolia (3: 0) and Anavat Thongkrathok from Thailand (knockout) he reached the final, where he narrowly beat Ädilbek Nijasymbetow from Kazakhstan (2: 1 ) scored and won gold.

He then took part in the 17th World Championships in Almaty , Kazakhstan, in October 2013 . After another win in the preliminary round against the Mongols Sandagsuren Erdenebayar (3-0), he beat the Bosnian Džemal Bošnjak (3-0) in the round of 16 and the Dutchman Peter Müllenberg ( 3-0) in the quarter-finals . In the fight for a place in the final, he was defeated this time by the Kazakh Ädilbek Nijasymbetow (0: 3) and won bronze.

At the 2014 Asian Games in South Korea, he defeated Sandagsuren Erdenebayar from Mongolia (3-0) and Nadjed Salloum from Lebanon (tKo) before he was eliminated in the semifinals against Kim Hyeong-Kyu from South Korea (0-3).
