The OYSTAR Holding GmbH was a supplier of services packaging machinery, technology and. With nine international production sites and several sales and service companies, the Oystar Group developed, produced and sold individual machines and entire packaging lines.

In 2015, the Oystar Holding was sold to the Italian IMA-Group ( Industria Macchine Automatiche ) and the division was continued as a subsidiary under the name IMA DAIRY & FOOD.

Oystar emerged from the packaging machine division of what was then IWKA : This division was bought by the German holding company Odewald & Compagnie in March 2007 and subsequently renamed OYSTAR. The Process & Packaging Group has been launched. In 2011, Oystar sold its process technology-specialized subsidiaries Hüttlin and Manesty to Bosch , thereby concentrating on the primary and secondary packaging business areas.

The Oystar group in Germany included OYSTAR Benhil GmbH in Neuss , Gasti Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH in Schwäbisch Hall , Hamba Filltec GmbH & Co. KG in Saarbrücken and Hassia Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH in Ranstadt . International daughters were in France Erca SA in Courtaboeuf in Spain Erca Iberica SA , based in Barcelona, and OYSTAR USA in Edison . The production facility of Hassia Packaging Pvt. Was located in Asia . Ltd. in the Indian Taluka Shirur .

The A + F Automation + Fördertechnik GmbH in Kirchlengern was sold to the Mutares AG in December 2014 and since then not one more for the OYSTAR Group.

Industries and products

Oystar produced filling and packaging systems for the dairy and food industries.

Oystar offered solutions for primary, secondary and final packaging. These include filling and closing machines (FS) for prefabricated cups and bottles, forming, filling and closing machines (FFS), and wrapping machines. Bag machines as well as cartoning machines and tray packers.
