Pál Ványa , partly also Pavel Ványa (born June 13, 1904 in Vrbovka , † 1955 ) was a Hungarian ski jumper .

Career

Ványa belonged to the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz . In the individual competition on the normal hill, he fell in the first round and was therefore unable to place in the ranking. At the age of 43 he was the oldest ski jumper at the Games and is still the oldest jumper who has ever competed at the Olympic Games.

Ványa won the Hungarian championship title seven times in his playing career.
