Páll Valur Björnsson

Páll Valur Björnsson (born July 9, 1962 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician ( Björt framtíð ).

Páll Valur worked, among other things, in the fish trade and the fish processing industry in Iceland and Denmark . In 2011 he graduated from the University of Iceland as a primary school teacher . Since then he has worked as a teacher, first in Njarðvík , then at the Icelandic fishing school in Grindavík .

Since the Icelandic parliamentary election on April 27, 2013 , Páll Valur was a member of the Icelandic parliament Althing for the southern constituency . He was a member of the Parliament's Committee on Justice and Education (2013–2015), the Committee on Welfare (2015–2016) and the Icelandic delegation to the West Nordic Council . For the early parliamentary election on October 29, 2016 , Páll Valur Björnsson ran again, but was not elected. He was at the top of the list of Björt framtíð for the southern constituency, but the party could not win any more seats in this district.
