Suðurkjördæmi in Iceland

Suðurkjördæmi ( Southern Constituency ) is one of the six constituencies in Iceland .

He is represented by 10 MPs in the Alþingi . The communities from Hornafjörður in the east to Sandgerði on the Reykjanes peninsula in the west belong to it . 20 parishes belong to it. In 2007 there were 30,597 eligible voters.

For constituency includes the communities: Hornafjörður , Skaftárhreppur , Mýrdalur , Rangárþing eystra , Rangárþing ytra , Ásahreppur , Vestmannaeyjabær , Flói , Árborg , Skeiða- og Gnúpverjahreppur , Hrunamannahreppur , Bláskógabyggð , Grímsnes- og Grafningshreppur , Hveragerdi , Sveitarfélagið Ölfus , Grindavík , Sandgerði , Garður , Reykjanesbær and Vogar .
