The Hyōgo University of Education ( Japanese 兵 庫 教育 大学 , Hyōgo kyōiku daigaku ; English Hyogo University of Teacher Education , short: Hyōkyōdai ( 兵 教 大 )) is a state educational university in Japan . The main campus is located in Kato in Hyogo prefecture .
history
The university was founded in 1978 as one of the "new concept educational universities". She put her focus on the advanced training of teachers. It has no predecessor, e.g. B. Shihan Gakkō ( normal school ); the normal school and normal youth school Hyōgo were the predecessors of the Faculty of Human Sciences at the University of Kobe .
It opened the bachelor's degree courses in 1978 (training courses for teachers in kindergartens and primary schools) and in 1980 the master's courses (advanced training courses for teachers), and then in 1996 the doctoral courses as a joint graduate school with the University of Okayama and the universities of education in Jōetsu and Naruto .
