Päivi Maria Luostarinen (born January 13, 1955 in Jalasjärvi ) is a Finnish diplomat . From 2011 to 2015 she was the ambassador of the Republic of Finland in Germany.

Life

Päivi Maria Luostarinen studied law at the University of Helsinki and practiced as a lawyer from 1980 to 1981 . After joining the foreign service in 1981, she was employed at the UN headquarters . From 1989 to 1992 she was the embassy secretary in the negotiating delegation for the European Economic Area in the trade policy department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
