Pölöskei Nutmeg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pölöskei Muscat is a white wine variety with a fine nutmeg aroma that is used as a table grape . It was bred by Sandor Szegedi in 1980 in Kecskemét , a town in Hungary . The berries are round, yellow with a slightly greenish tinge. The berries ripen approx. 5–10 days after the yellow Augusteller in early to mid-September. Pölöskei Muscat has a very high tolerance to powdery mildew and downy mildew . Both the grapes and the berries grow larger than those of the Yellow Augusteller. When the weather is optimal, care must be taken that especially young vines are not overloaded, as the yields are usually very high.

  • Wood maturity: good
  • Mushroom tolerance: very high
  • Frost resistance: down to –18 ° C
