Susanna Kristiina Pöykiö (born February 22, 1982 in Oulu ) is a Finnish figure skater .

Susanna Pöykiö started figure skating at the age of 3. Her sister Heidi was already a figure skater. She is known for her elegant style and was therefore also known as the "European Kwan ".

Susanna Pöykiö started for the Oulun Luistelukerho club. After separating from her long-time trainer Berit Kaijomaa, Susanna moved from Lahti back to Oulu, where her sister Heidi trained her.

Susanna Pöykiö was three times Finnish champion in figure skating for seniors. She was the first Finnish woman to win a medal in the women's competition at ISU championships, and bronze at the 2001 World Junior Championships . She was also the first Finnish woman to win a European Championship medal in the women's category, namely silver in the 2005 European Championship . In addition, Susanna Pöykiö won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Helsinki in 2009 . In March 2010, she announced her retirement from competitive sports.
