Pėžaičiai ( German Pöszeiten ) is a village in the Lithuanian district of Klaipėda . The place belongs to the administrative district (Seniūnija) Veiviržėnai and belongs to the Rajongemeinde Klaipėda .

Pėžaičiai is located in western Lithuania , in the former Memelland , on the Aisė (German Aise), a right tributary of the Veiviržas (German Wewirsze), about 28 kilometers southeast of the municipality of Klaipėda . Agluonėnai village is seven kilometers west of Pėžaičiai .
Memel small train
While the tram routes led from downtown Memel to the south and north-west of the coast, from October 22, 1906, the small rail routes opened up the hinterland to the Russian border. Starting from the small station in Memel, the 35-kilometer “main line” ran in a southeastern direction via Clemmenhof and Dawillen to Pöszeiten (terminus).
