The men's 800-meter run at the World Athletics Championships in 1993 was held from August 14th to 17th, 1993 in the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium in Stuttgart .
The middle-distance runners from Kenya won two gold and bronze medals in this competition. World champion was the second of the African Championships in 1993 Paul Ruto . He won ahead of the Italian Giuseppe D'Urso . Bronze went to the two-time world champion ( 1987 / 1991 ) Billy Konchellah .
