The women's 4 x 100 meter relay at the World Athletics Championships in 1993 took place on August 21 and 22, 1993 in the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium in Stuttgart .

The dramatic final ended with teams in first and second place at the same time. Russia became world champion in the line-up of Olga Bogoslowskaja , Galina Maltschugina , Natalja Voronowa and Irina Priwalowa (final) as well as Marina Trandenkowa, who was also used in the preliminary stages .
Second place went to the United States with Michelle Finn , Gwen Torrence (final), Wendy Vereen and Gail Devers as well as Sheila Echols, who was also used in the preliminary run .
Bronze went to Jamaica with Michelle Freeman , Juliet Campbell , Nikole Mitchell and Merlene Ottey (final) as well as Dahlia Duhaney, who was also used in the preliminary run .

The runners who were only used in the preliminary run also received the corresponding precious metal. In contrast, only the athletes who actually ran were entitled to records.
