Marcia Richardson

Marcia Richardson ( Marcia Maureen Richardson, married Bailey ; born February 10, 1972 in Slough ) is a former British sprinter .

In 1991 she won over 100 m silver at the Junior European Championships in Thessaloniki .

At the World Athletics Championships in 1993 in Stuttgart, she came in eighth place in the 4 x 100 meter relay with the British team. In 1996 she reached the quarter-finals at the Olympic Games in Atlanta over 100 m and finished eighth in the British 4 x 100 meter relay. In 1997 she was eliminated at the World Championships in Athens over 100 m in the preliminary run.

At the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur in 1998 , she did not get beyond the semi-finals over 100 m and 200 m , but won bronze in the English 4 x 100 meter relay. In 1999 she came back to eighth place in the relay at the World Cup in Seville .

The following year she was eighth over 60 m at the European Indoor Championships in Ghent in 2000 . At the Olympic Games in Sydney , she failed over 100 m in the run and in the 4 x 100 meter relay in the semifinals.

In 2001 she reached the quarter-finals at the World Championships in Edmonton over 100 m and came in sixth place with the British relay.

In 2000 she became English champion over 100 m, in 1996, 2000 and 2001 English indoor champion over 60 m.
