Michelle Freeman (born May 5, 1969 in Saint Catherine Parish ) is a former Jamaican track and field athlete who mainly appeared in the 100-meter hurdles .

She won a total of five times at Jamaican championships in the 100-meter hurdles (1991-1994 and 1997). Her greatest international successes in this discipline include the bronze medal at the 2007 World Championships and victory at the 2004 Commonwealth Games.

She was also successful in the 60-meter hurdles and won the gold and silver medal once each at indoor world championships. With her personal best of 7.74 s, she is the fifth fastest woman on this route to date (as of May 2009).

She was also a member of the Jamaican 4 x 100 meter relay . At the 1993 World Championships in Stuttgart , she finished third in the relay. In 1996 she won the bronze medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta together with Juliet Cuthbert , Nikole Mitchell and Merlene Ottey .

Michelle Freeman is 1.70 m tall and weighed 63 kg during her active days. In 1997 she was named Jamaica's Sportswoman of the Year .
