Beverly Kinch

Beverly Kinch (also Bev Kinch ; born January 14, 1964 in Ipswich ) is a former British sprinter and long jumper .

At the Commonwealth Games in 1982 she won bronze in the long jump for England , starting. In 1983 she was fourth over 60 m at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Budapest , won gold over 100 m at the Universiade and was fifth in the long jump at the 1983 World Athletics Championships . In 1984 she won the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg over 60 m.

In 1986 she was fourth over 60 m again at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid . At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, she reached the semi-finals with the British team in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

In 1990 she reached the semi-finals at the European Athletics Championships in Split over 100 m and won bronze in the 4 x 100 meter relay with the British quartet.

At the 1991 World Cup in Tokyo, she was eliminated in the semi-finals over 100 m as well as two years later at the World Championships in Stuttgart , where she finished eighth in the 4 x 100 meter relay with the British team.

In 1993 she became AAA champion over 100 m. In the hall she won the AAA title over 60 m six times (1983, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1990, 1994) and once in the long jump (1982).
