The 3,000-meter run for women at the World Athletics Championships in 1993 was held on August 14 and 16, 1993 in the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium in Stuttgart .
In this competition there was a triple success for the Chinese long-distance runner - a dominance that was completely unexpected in this form. The world champion was the Olympic third in 1992 over 1500 meters Qu Yunxia . She won ahead of Zhang Linli . Bronze went to Zhang Lirong .
