Andrea Philipp
Andrea Philipp , married name Andrea Ziercke , (born July 29, 1971 in Bützow ), is a former German athlete and Olympian who was one of the world's best sprinters from the late 1990s to 2000 . Her greatest success was third place in the 200-meter run at the 1999 World Athletics Championships . In 1998 she won the silver medal at the European Championships with the German 4 x 100 meter relay.
In 1990 she became junior world champion in the 100-meter run ( starting for the GDR ).
She also took part in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , 1996 in Atlanta and 2000 in Sydney , where she started in the German 4 x 100 meter relay , but remained without medal success.
Andrea Philipp started from 1984 to 1994 for Schweriner SC , 1995 for TV Schriesheim and since 1996 for LG Olympia Dortmund . Your trainer was Bernd Jahn . In her active time she was 1.65 m tall and weighed 54 kg. In 2003 she ended her sports career. In 2005 she became the athletes spokesperson for the German Athletics Association .
