Mark Everett

Mark Everett ( David Mark Everett ; * 2. September 1968 in Baghdad , Florida ) is a retired American sprinter and middle distance runner , in both the 800-meter dash and in the 4 x 400-meter relay was successful .

In 1988 he was eliminated from the Olympic Games in Seoul .

In 1991 he won bronze at the World Championships in Tokyo . The following year he reached the final at the Olympic Games in Barcelona , but did not reach the goal in this. In 1993 he won the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Toronto in 1993 with the US relays in the 4 x 400 meter relay and in the demonstration competition of the 1,600 meter relay and reached the semifinals at the World Championships in Stuttgart .

At the World Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 and in Athens in 1997 , he was eighth. At the World Indoor Championships in Paris in 1997 , he again won gold with the US team in the 4 x 400 meter relay.

In 2000 he won the US eliminations for the Olympic Games in Sydney , but was eliminated there in advance.

Overall, he was national champion twelve times in the open air and in the hall.

Mark Everett is 1.83 m tall and weighed 74 kg during competitions. He graduated from the University of Florida .
