P: lot (pronounced pilot ) is a German alternative rock band from Cologne .
history
P: lot has existed since 1997, but more as a studio project by Alexander Freund and Andreas Kaufmann. Only when Ben Argandona joined as a permanent drummer in 2002 did P: lot develop into a (live) band.
At a concert in 2004, the band was discovered by Wolfgang Rohde , who offered them a contract with his label Goldene Zeiten .
In response to the structural change within the music industry, the band decided to act as a label themselves.
On February 13th, 2009 P: lot competed for the federal state Saarland in the Bundesvision Song Contest 2009 and took 14th place.
In February 2010 the band released the soundtrack for the film Friedensschlag , which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival .
Her third album is called Listening . The official release date is March 23, 2012. Singer Naima Husseini wrote the lyrics for three of the eleven pieces.
