PAS Korinthos ( Greek Π.Α.Σ. Κόρινθος , German "Allkorinthischer Sportverein Korinth") is a Greek football club from Corinth . The club currently plays in the first district league ( A Topiko Korinthias ).
history
In 1959, the Pankorinthiakos association was formed when the two Corinthian associations Achilleas and Olympiacos merged. Four years later (1963) Aris from Corinth joined and the club was henceforth called APS Korinthos (ΑΠΣ Κόρινθος). The game operations for APS Korinthos began in the 1963/64 season in the Beta Ethniki . Under the name "Pankorinthiakos", a club made up of the remaining players from the two teams was continued in the same year and also played in the Beta Ethniki . 1978/79 won APS Korinthos confident the league and first got into the club's history in the Alpha Ethniki on. They played in the top Greek league for three years, finished 10th (1980), 16th (1981) and 1982 then 18th and thus bottom of the table. Another three years later Korinthos rose to the third division (Gamma Ethniki), but managed to rise again immediately. Between 1991 and 1993 the club played in the first division of Greece for the last time. In 1999 the APS Korinthos and the city rival Pankorinthiakos merged and founded PAS Korinthos.
Only a year later, the club's history hit its all-time low when it was relegated to the district league (5th division). In 2002 Korinthos made it to the 4th league (Delta Ethniki) and won it in the 2006/07 season without a single defeat. From 2007 to 2011 PAS Korinthos played again in the Gamma Ethniki. In 2011 the club from Corinth was forced to relegate due to repeated damage to the reputation of football, and a fine was also imposed for repeated forgery of documents. In the following season, however, the club rose again immediately and played the 2012-2013 season in the Football League 2 and after its dissolution in the summer of 2013 in the Gamma Ethniki (3rd division - amateur football), which was created by the merger of the Football League 2 and the Delta Ethniki was launched. In 2014 the relegation came to the first district league after the relegation was missed in the very last game of the season.
