PCCW ( Pacific Century Cyberworks ) is a Chinese company headquartered in Hong Kong . The company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and was temporarily listed in the Hang Seng Index .
The company provides telecommunications and Internet services to its customers in Hong Kong and the neighboring Chinese region. The company was founded in 1994. PCCW is headed by Richard Li , the youngest son of Chinese billionaire and entrepreneur Li Ka-shing . In August 2000, the Chinese company Hong Kong Telecom (formerly Hong Kong Telephone Company , founded in 1925) was acquired by the British company Cable & Wireless and incorporated into the PCCW company. PCCW uses the Netvigator as a brand for its Internet services .
