The company made plastic flowers from plastic and exported mainly to the United States . After only 12 years, the company had annual sales of 10 million Hong Kong dollars . Li Ka-shing increased wealth by skillfully investing the profits in land and real estate. He owns shares in the largest container ports around the world (including Hong Kong, China, Rotterdam, Panama and the Bahamas). Since 2015, through the restructuring and incorporation of Cheung Kong Holdings, he has been CEO of CK Hutchison Holdings together with Hutchison Whampoa .

He contributed 100 million Hong Kong dollars to finance a building on the grounds of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University . The Li Ka-shing Tower is home to the Marketing and Logistics departments.
