PM-International AG is a manufacturer of dietary supplements and cosmetics based in Schengen ( Luxembourg ).

history

The company was founded in 1993 by Rolf Sorg in Limburgerhof . In the same year, the first foreign branch was opened in Poland . The following year, PM-International-Holding was founded in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg .

In 2003 the company opened a logistics center in Speyer ( Rhineland-Palatinate ). In 2005 there was a change in legal form from a GmbH to a non-listed stock corporation .

The company's products are sold exclusively through independent sales partners in network marketing , on the Internet and in their own direct sales. In 2013 PM-International was represented at more than 30 direct sales locations in and outside Europe. In addition, around 150,000 independent sales partners in network marketing sold the company's products. The annual turnover was equivalent to 200 million US dollars .

In 2015, the company opened a headquarters for the Asia-Pacific region in the city-state of Singapore ; in the same year, the company moved its headquarters to Schengen in Luxembourg.

In 2016, the company reported sales totaling 118.03 million euros in 35 countries.

Currently (as of 2017) PM-International employs 450 people worldwide, 180 of them in the logistics center in Speyer.

According to a report by the Spiegel subsidiary Bento , PM International is recruiting independent salespeople with unrealistic earnings prospects. The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce is quoted in the report as warning that networks like PM International's are based on “sect-like dependence”. In addition, a former saleswoman is quoted as saying that the company mainly earns from new sales people and less from the actual products. PM-International rejected the allegations.
