PMMP was a Finnish pop / rock (music) band consisting of the two singers Paula Vesala and Mira Luoti as well as Mikko Virta, Juho Vehmanen and Heikki Kytölä on the instruments. With songs like Rusketusraidat from their debut album Kuulkaas Enot! they had great success.
The band name is an abbreviation of the phrase "Paulan ja Miran Molemmat Puolet", which means "Both sides of Paula and Mira" in German. In an interview on the Finnish chat show Krisse Show they said that the band name consists of the first letters of the members: PMMP are Paula, Mira, Mira, Paula.
Her album was produced by Jori Sjöroos. Paula and Mira write their own songs. The band is a very celebrated live act. PMMP's second album "Kovemmat kädet" achieved gold status. An extended version of the album was released in August 2005. “Oo siellä jossain mun”, a single from their above-mentioned album, is PMMP's biggest success in Finland. In November 2006 the third album "Leskiäidin tyttäret" was released, which reached platinum status on the day of release.

Paula Vesala and Mira Luoti met at the pop stars casting in 2002. Both were eliminated shortly before the final. Then they decided to start a band themselves. Other band members were Juho, Mikko and Heikki. In the summer of 2003, the debut single "Rusketusraidat" was released under the name PMMP, which became a mega hit in Finland. In the same year the album "Kuulkaas enot!" Was released. The second single was "Joutsenet". Three quarters of a year later PMMP announced a new album. The first single was "Päiväkoti" and was released in February 2005, the subsequent album "Kovemmat Kädet" on March 9th. Paula and Mira write all the songs themselves, and they compose together with Jori Sjöroos.
In 2013 the band split up and on October 27, 2013 they played their last concert.
