The PRW-17 ( NATO code : "Odd Group") is an altitude search radar of the Soviet Union and was used in the Warsaw Pact states .
The radar unit consists of a rotating cabin on a carriage with the antennas and the transmitter / receiver equipment , the display unit hanger with the SBZ system and a unit hanger. It was equipped with a coupling device that made it possible to work synchronously with other radar devices and to display the analog radar data on a shared radar screen . Two to four PRW-17 were used in the radio measurement complex with the radar device Kabina 66 ("Back Net").

The PRW-17 used many modules of its predecessor, the PRW-13 ("Odd Pair"). An important external distinguishing feature are the three compensation antennas, of which in the picture from Medina only the rear one was built to compensate for the back lobe .
