PSD-Tutorials.de is an e-learning platform for beginners and advanced users in photography , image processing and web development . The aim of this website is to bring learners and users in the design and media sector together and to build up and expand their knowledge through instructions (so-called tutorials) and to provide them with a platform for exchange and for graphics competitions.
history
On December 20, 2002 the first version of PSD-Tutorials.de went online. Initially started as a small hobby project by the brothers Stefan and Matthias Petri, the system was migrated to a CMS in March 2004 and expanded as a community with a forum. The current technical system behind PSD-Tutorials.de is the Zend Framework .
Numbers & dates
The community has over 375,000 registered members and is the largest Internet community for image processing and graphics competitions with Adobe Photoshop in the German-speaking region. The portal includes over 6,000 tutorials and video trainings and over 2,500 download files (textures, presets, work files, etc.). The heart of the associated forum is the contest area with over 18,500 images, where members can measure their skills in graphic competitions.
Functions
PSD-Tutorials.de offers members the opportunity to use the forum for technical problems and questions, to comment on tutorials, video trainings and downloads and to upload their own content for the community. Membership is free. There is a point system that rewards participation in the forum and the provision or commenting of content. Contents can be downloaded with the available points.
In the contest area, at least four graphics competitions - thematically divided into 2D, 3D, photography and special topics - are active at any time. Members have the opportunity to create their own works based on given themes or images and upload them to the competition.
Buy learning DVDs and templates
It is possible to use learning DVDs created by the operators themselves for Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Maxon CINEMA 4D, Joomla! and for other programs and applications. The learning DVDs contain tutorials and video trainings available at PSD-Tutorials.de from the operators and from specialist authors such as Pavel Kaplun , Tom Krieger or Uli Staiger . Commag - online magazine for image editing
Commag is a free, monthly online magazine for image processing in PDF format that has been published since August 2005. In addition to general news from PSD-Tutorials.de, the online magazine contains a commented and illustrated overview of the contests and battles of the community, technical articles on design topics, law and web development as well as tutorials, tips and tricks on photography and image processing.
