The PW-6 is the P olytechnikum W arsaw developed biplace glider in plastic construction.

The aircraft was on 11 September 2000, the Polish and on 27 June 2006, the EASA - type certification according to JAR 22. Mass production began at PZL Swidnik and was continued at Zakład Szybowcowy "Jeżów" from the serial number 78.04.01.

History and construction

Developed at the Technical University of Warsaw, the aircraft has some similarities to the single-seater PW-5 in the tail unit and wing . The length grew by 1.63 m, the span by 2.56 m to 16 m. The cantilevered mid-decker with trapezoidal wing and curved leading edge outside has a normal tail unit with fabric-covered rudder. The chassis consists of three wheels with a rigid main wheel that is decelerated by a drum brake. The two-part hood opens to the front and back.
