Pablo Arias Echeverría

Pablo Arias Echeverría (born June 30, 1970 in Madrid ) is a Spanish politician of the conservative PP and has been a member of the European Parliament since the 2009 European elections .

Arias studied marketing at the Escuela Internacional de Dirección Empresarial from 1991 to 1993 and completed a Master of Business Administration there in 1993 . From 2000 to 2002 he was assistant to Alejandro Agag , who at that time was Secretary General of the Christian Democratic International in Brussels. In 2002 Arias became assistant to José María Aznar , the Spanish Prime Minister. Even after the Spanish parliamentary elections in 2004 , in which Aznar was voted out of office as prime minister, Arias remained his office manager. From 2008 to 2009 he also held a leading position at the IESE Business School .

In the 2009 European elections in Spain , Arias won a seat in the European Parliament , where, like all PP MEPs, he joined the Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) . He is also a member of the Committee for the Internal Market and Consumer Protection .
