Pablo González , full name Pablo Matías González Maciel , (born September 13, 1996 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.60 meter tall defensive player González has been in the squad of the professional team of Liverpool Montevideo since at least the 2014/15 season . In that second division season he made his debut on May 23, 2015 in the 2: 5 away defeat against Villa Española in the Segunda División , when he was substituted on by coach Alejandro Apud in the 82nd minute for Guillermo Firpo . By the end of the season, when his club rose to the highest Uruguayan league, he only played this one second division game. He did not score a hit. In the first division season 2015/16 and beyond, he has not been used in the Primera División so far (as of February 10, 2017) . However, he was used in five games (two goals) of the Copa Libertadores Sub-20 2016 . The team finished the competition in second place after losing 1-0 in the final against São Paulo FC .

National team

González took part in the U-17 South American Championship 2013 in Argentina with the Uruguayan U-17 team coached by Fabián Coito . During the tournament he played three games (no goal).
