The Pachon Navarro is a Spanish hound from brackish type who is not from the FCI is recognized, but is recognized by the Spanish FCI subsidiary organization RSCE. This assigns the breed to FCI Group 7, Section 1 .

Origin and history

Even Goya and Velasquez are the Pachón Navarro have mentioned. In the 18th and 19th centuries it was extremely popular with the nobles. At the beginning of the 20th century it became increasingly rare. After the Spanish Civil War , it was almost extinct. It is thanks to some friends of the breed that it is represented again today with a good population. These three drove 2000 km across Spain in 1979 to collect the remains. The breed was recently recognized by the RSCE (Real Sociedad Canina Española).

description

The fur is short or setter-like long in the colors lever / white or orange / white. The head is rather broad with medium-long, brown floppy ears. The dogs grow up to 57 cm tall and weigh 33 kg.

use

The Pachon Navarro is a pointing dog. As a bracken breed, the Pachón is a good hunting dog. It is suitable for searching, retrieving and pointing.
