Pachuco López

Pachuco López , whose real name is Manuel López , is a retired Mexican soccer player who played in midfield .

Life

Pachuco López grew up in El Salto , Jalisco , and began organized football at the local Club Atlante , which for many years acted as a talent factory for clubs such as Atlas and Chivas based in the neighboring city of Guadalajara .

However, Pachuco ended up in León , Guanajuato , where he first played for Unión de Curtidores , but after a short time in 1956 he joined Club León , which in recent years had what was probably the best club team in the Mexican league at the time , which was just theirs had won fourth league title within eight years.

Although Pachuco López played for the Esmeraldas for more than ten years , he was not granted a championship title, as it was only enough for runner-up in the 1972/73 and 1974/75 seasons. For this he won three cup competitions with León and twice the Supercup and was included in the “best team in the club's history” by the Mexican sports magazine Récord .
