Padma Shri

The Padma Shri ( Hindi : पद्म श्री , Padma Śrī ; English Padma Shree) is an award of the Indian government, which annually on January 26th - the " Republic Day " - to mostly Indian citizens for their achievements in various areas, such as Art, science, sport, business and the like is awarded. He is the fourth highest Indian civil order after the Bharat Ratna , the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan . On its front, above and below a lotus flower, the words Padma ( lotus ) and Shri are written in Devanagari . The order is made of bronze and white gold.
