Paget Island is an island in northeastern Bermuda . It is located between Saint George's Island and Saint David's Island in the Atlantic access to Saint George's Harbor .
Immediately in front of the northwest coast are the uninhabited islets of Higgs Island and Horseshoe Island ; Smith's Island is about 250 meters off the south coast of the island .
Paget Island belongs to the administrative area of Saint George's Parish , is about 650 meters long and a maximum of 220 meters wide. On the densely forested, almost 0.14 km² island, there are a few small farm buildings and the remains of the Fort Cunningham fortress built around 1820 .
The island is named after the English aristocrat William Paget .
