Painflow was a Finnish industrial metal band from Kokkola that was formed in 1997 and renamed in 2002.
history
The band was formed in 1997. With their first demo, the band got a deal with Massacre Records . The debut album was in German Hagen by Siggi Bemm produced. However, the band was not satisfied with the mix, so Mikko Karmila mixed the album again.
When the album was finished, Jarkko Mäki, the drum computer programmer and guitarist, committed suicide in 1999. As a result, Ville Janatuinen became the new guitarist. Audio-Visual-Aids was released in July 1999. In Finland the album was released with a different cover design through Spinefarm Records . Live performances followed, for which the drummer Lauri Bexar came to the band. In addition, guitarist Pekka Hackspick was replaced by Arjo Mennstrom. After a few gigs, Ville Janatuinen and bassist Mika Hotakainen left the band departing. Rami Kaartamo joined the group as the new guitarist. The band split from Massacre Records and renamed themselves God's an Insect in 2002 . The band consisted of singer Aki Viljamaa, guitarists Pekka Hackspik and Rami Kaartamo and drummer Lauri Bexar. At the moment the band is called Zero Industry and has no record deal.
