The Pakaru Icefalls are severely jagged glacial breaks on the southwest coast of the Antarctic Ross Island . They begin north of Turks Head Ridge and flow into Erebus Bay between Cape Evans and Turks Head .
Its name, derived from the Māori , translates as "broken".
