The PalaMaggiò is a multi-purpose hall in Castel Morrone near Caserta , Italy .

History and use

The venue for sports competitions and concerts was built and opened in 1982. The hall with a capacity of exactly 6,387 visitors was opened as Palazzo dello sport Giovanni Maggiò and is named after Giovanni Maggiò. Sports events in the basketball discipline are mainly held in the arena. The Sporting Club Juvecaserta is based here. The structure was also the venue for the final of the 2003 European Futsal Championship .

Internationally known artists such as Eric Clapton , Bruce Springsteen and Eros Ramazzotti have performed here.
