Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology (also known as Palaeo3 ) is a bi-monthly peer-reviewed scientific journal that has existed since 1965. It is published by Elsevier .
The journal publishes original research papers and reviews on historical environmental geology and paleoclimatology , with a special focus on multidisciplinary approaches. The aim here is to transcend the respective boundaries of the individual geological disciplines and in this way to present a forum for interdisciplinary research results of general importance.
The impact factor in 2016 was 2.578, the five-year impact factor was 2.949. In the two-year Impact Factor, the journal was ranked 18th out of 49 scientific journals in the " Physical Geography " category , 53rd out of 188 journals in the "Multidisciplinary Geosciences " category and 5th out of 53 journals in the " Paleontology " category .
