Palais Hoyos-Sprinzenstein

The Palais Hoyos-Sprinzenstein is located in Vienna's 4th district of Wieden , Hoyosgasse 5-7. It bears its name after its builder, the noble family Hoyos-Sprinzenstein .

history

The late historic rental palace was built in two stages. In 1899, the architecture studio Bauqué and Pio built the wing at Gußhausstrasse 8, which was carried out by Heinrich and Franz Glaser . In 1901 the Mattiellistraße tract was planned by Viktor Siedek and built by the master builder Karl Stiegler. The palace is now a residential building.

description

The five-storey building is free-standing on three sides and rests on a grooved base. Flat, grooved corner risalites with curved balconies with stone parapets surround the facade. A round arch portal with a wrought iron canopy is arranged in the middle. The second floor is also grooved and has a straight window canopy. The two central window axes are somewhat further apart than the three laterally arranged axes and are framed by a grooved facade field that extends over the third and fourth floors. These two floors have curved window roofs and rich baroque architectural decorations. Cordon cornices run around the three sides of the facade. The strong cornice supported by consoles conceals a parapet parapet .
