Palais Rothschild at Prinz-Eugen-Straße 26, today a branch of the Brazilian embassy

The Palais (Albert) Rothschild is a palace in Vienna that was built in 1894 . It is located at Prinz-Eugen-Straße 26 in Vienna's 4th district of Wieden .

The architects were Fellner & Helmer , who also built other Viennese palaces. The “small” Palais (Albert) Rothschild should not be confused with the “large” Palais Albert Rothschild , which was demolished after the war.

This building was rented by the Brazilian Foreign Ministry from 1960 as the ambassador's residence and cultural center. In 1987 the Brazilian state acquired it from the heirs of the Rothschild family.
