Racot Palace
Racot Palace is a palace in Racot , Kościan Municipality , in Poland .
history
Originally there was a mansion here, which was destroyed by Bar during the Confederation . Antoni Barnaba Jabłonowski built a palace on this site. In 1799 he sold the palace and the Racot estate to Wilhelm I. At the end of the 19th century Sophie von Orange-Nassau brought Racot as a dowry. In 1902 Wilhelm Ernst (Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach) added the northern wing, in which the guest rooms were furnished. Due to the Peace Treaty of Versailles , the Racot estate was handed over to the Polish state .
In the interwar period, the President of Poland used the palace as his summer residence . In July 1927 Ignacy Mościcki and his wife spent their vacation here. After its renovation between 2000 and 2004, a hotel was established here. The building has been a listed building since 1952.
