Palau High School ( PHS ) is a senior high school in Koror City , Palau . It is the only public high school in the country, and the first high school established in Palau. It is administered by the Ministry of Education and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) .
history
The school was founded as the Palau Intermediate School in 1946. At first there were only grades 6-9, but in 1962 it got its current name and became a high school for good.
The current buildings were constructed in the late 1960s through the mid 1970s when, along with several other public high schools in the Pacific Islands Trust Territory, were built with US funding .
