Palazzetto da Lezze is a palace in Venice in the Veneto region of Italy . It is located in the Cannaregio sestiere with a view of the Grand Canal at the confluence of the Rio di Noale , between the Palazzo Boldù a San Felice and the Casa Gussoni Grimani della Vida , opposite the Ca 'Pesaro .

history

The architectural scheme of the building bears Gothic style elements from the first half of the 15th century. The architect was Baldassare Longhena .

description

The palace is lower than any of its neighboring buildings. It has three full floors without a mezzanine. The building is set back from the bank of the Grand Canal and in front of it there is a narrow garden. The main part of the facade is the right part and is designed symmetrically. Most notable are the windows on the main floor: a triple three-pass window with a small, shared balcony in the middle, flanked by two pairs of individual three-pass windows. On the ground floor and on the second floor, the window openings are provided with basket arches and correspond to the scheme of the main floor, with a gate under the triple window on the first floor and two individual windows above the triple window on the second floor. Above the serrated eaves is a large dormer window with two individual basket-arched windows and a tympanum .

The left part of the facade protrudes a little and has a window on each floor, each of the type of the floor concerned. On the ground floor there is a porch the width of the garden with a balcony above it.

The side facade facing the Rio di Noale has a quadruple three-pass window on the main floor, which is shifted from the center to the left and is flanked by a single window. The window division on the ground floor and second floor is almost the same as on the main floor, again with basket arched windows. On the second floor there is another single window between the quadruple window and the outer right window, while on the main floor below there is a round heraldic shield.
