history
The Erizzo family had the palace built in Gothic style in 1480 . In 1537 it fell to the Nani family (later called the Nani Mocenigo family ).
description
The facade facing the Grand Canal is built of brick and is generally well preserved; it is divided into three sections, each of which is decorated in the late Gothic style . You can often see pointed flowers, three-pass arches , serrated eaves , Corinthian capitals. The most interesting element of the arrangement is the quadruple window on the first main floor, which stands out for a small balcony of particular value, supported by elaborate consoles and decorated with zoomorphic figures that can also be found in other elements. The edges are framed in Istrian limestone , as are the storey cornices and two coats of arms of the Da Lezze family . A valuable element that contradicts the other elements is the arched portal to the water, which is more likely to be assigned to the Renaissance .
The rear facade looks out onto a large garden and is decorated with zoomorphic pateras and has two triple windows in the middle, which are surrounded by various individual windows. A characteristic element of the complex is also a large, new dormer window , which indicates an extension to the rear, which leads to the opening of numerous roof terraces.
