Palazzo Querini alla Carità
Palazzo Querini alla Carità , also Palazzo Querini Vianello , is a palace in Venice in the Italian region of Veneto . It is located in the Dorsoduro sestiere overlooking the Grand Canal between the Palazzo Mocenigo Gambara and the Gallerie dell'Accademia .
history
The palace dates back to the 18th century and was built in place of a Gothic palace. In 1868 it was expanded. This is where the UK Consulate has long been located and is now the headquarters of the Tourist Office.
description
The palace shows a characteristic, classical facade, which is grouped around a triple window with a balcony in the middle and appears lean and linear. In addition to the triple window, there are two pairs of single windows and the windows on the mezzanine floor . The front gate is rectangular. There is a small garden behind the more modern building.
