Palazzo Morosini del Pestrin , also simply Palazzo Morosini , is a palace in Venice in the Italian region of Veneto . It is located in the Sestiere Castello with a view of the Rio del Pestrin next to the Palazzi Donà a Santa Maria Formosa near the Campo Santa Maria Formosa and Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo .

history

The Palazzo Morosini del Pestrin was built in the 17th century for the patrician family Morosini del Pestrin . Its name goes back to the Corte del Pestrin , a milk market (in Venetian "Pestrin") which was located where the inner part of the palace is today.

Since 2001, the second floor has been the seat of the Honorary Consul of France and earlier also of the cultural delegation of the French Consulate (closed in August 2009).
