Palko! Muski is a Swiss music group from Zurich and Biel .

Band history

Palko! Muski was originally formed as a trio in 2006. After the first concerts, other musicians joined in, but in the following time there were repeated changes in the line-up.

With every appearance by the young band, there were new requests for concerts, and the band soon received the offer to play a weekly show for a month in Zurich's “ Helsinki Klub ”. The concert series was well received, and other concerts all over Switzerland followed.

In 2008 the first Palko! Muski record was released, a live album entitled "Fish & Gipsies". The album contained recordings of a series of Helsinki Club concerts. The EP “Boomerang” followed in 2010, for whose recordings Palko! Muski was able to win over producer Adrian Weyermann . The release of Boomerang was followed by television appearances on 8x15 by SRF and Musicomax by RTS. Adrian Weyermann also produced the 2012 album “Street Desire” together with Roli Mosimann . Numerous concerts at home and abroad followed, including appearances in Germany and Italy.

Another EP was released in 2013 with the title “Panik” and in summer 2014 a remix of their song “Like a Boomerang” by the Argentinian DJ and producer El Hijo De La Cumbia was released. In addition, the band was invited by the Argentine soccer clubClub Atlético Colón ” from Santa Fé to contribute an interpretation of the club's anthem “Sabalero” for a compilation.

In 2016 the second studio album, "Land of Ego", was released, produced by Rolf Stauffacher. In the same year, the band was  represented with one song on the compilation “Pandemonium Gitano” by the Zurich Balkan beat / Gypsypunk DJ, alongside groups such as Gogol Bordello , Mahala Rai Banda, Amsterdam Klezmer Band and Russkaja .

In 2017, the remix album 10 Yeahs… and Still Thirty! published with remixes of Palko! Muski songs by Rolf Stauffacher, El Hijo De La Cumbia, Bit-Tuner and members of Palko! Muski.
