Palmeira de Faro is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Palmeira de Faro belongs to the Esposende district in the Braga district . The community had an area of 6.8 km² and 2404 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Palmeira de Faro and Curvos were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Palmeira de Faro e Curvos . Palmeira de Faro is the seat of this newly formed municipality.
