Pamanzi ( Île Pamanzi or Petite Terre ) is the second largest island in the French overseas territory of Mayotte . It is 10.95 km² and is located east of the main island ( Grande Terre ). Pamanzi is home to the former capital of Mayotte, Dzaoudzi , and Dzaoudzi Pamandzi International Airport .

The island is divided into two parishes :

  • Dzaoudzi in the north with 12,308 inhabitants (2002)
  • Pamandzi in the south with 7,510 inhabitants (2002)
