Reservoirs flowed through Pamukluk Dam (under construction)

The Pamukluk Çayı forms the right source river of the Berdan Çayı in the southern Turkish province of Mersin .

The Pamukluk Çayı rises on the provincial border with Karaman in the north of Mersin, about 30 km west of the district town of Çamlıyayla . The river flows mostly in a westerly and southwestern direction. At the middle reaches the Pamuk hydropower plant uses the gradient of the river and directs the river water from a weir over a distance of 5 km to the power plant downstream. The 135 m high Pamukluk dam is being built on the lower reaches . The Pamukluk Çayı finally unites with the Kadıncık Çayı flowing in from the north to form the Berdan Çayı.
