The Pamuk hydropower plant is located on the middle reaches of the Pamukluk Çayı , the right source river of the Berdan Çayı , in the southern Turkish province of Mersin .
The hydropower plant located in Çamlıyayla County in the Taurus Mountains was completed in 2003. The hydropower project was implemented as an operator model with a 40-year term. Pamuk Hes Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. operated.
The associated weir ( ⊙ ) is located upstream, about 4 km in a west-northwest direction from the power plant. The barrier structure is 12.5 m high and has a crown length of 33 m. From the weir, the water is led to the power plant via a canal that leads to a tunnel, which in turn ends at a pressure pipe.
The hydropower plant has two 9 MW - Francis turbines and a 5.1 MW turbine. The total installed capacity is 23.7 MW. The figures for standard energy vary between 81 and 93.2 GWh per year.
